Thank you for supporting Charlotte Public Schools and helping to pass our 2010 school bond.

By passing this bond, we can focus on replacing systems that are in constant need of repair, removing asbestos, replacing inefficient windows, updating lights and equipment with energy-efficient models, replacing leaking roofs, replacing outdated computer systems and making changes to ensure our students are safer. These much needed improvements will extend the useful life of our buildings into the future.

Work will be scheduled so it does not interfere with day-to-day operations or pedestrian safety. The construction schedule will be constantly reviewed and coordinated with district administrators and building principals. The Construction Implementation Plan focuses on safety, including clear directional signage relating to students, staff, administration and community members/visitors. Any announcements on building detours and closures will be made available here.

As construction progresses, this site will contain current information about project progress and serve as an access point for project participants to share information. Before and after photos will be featured for you to see the progress being made, a project schedule will be regularly updated and bid opportunities will be made available to local contractors.
